Community guidelines

As a Friend of DD you pledge to contribute to a community spirit of fairness and kindness based on the following principles:

1 Be kind and respectful, especially when disagreeing. Try to interpret others’ words generously. Listen and reflect.

2 Share relevant links, expertise or personal stories related to the topic. Think ‘What enriches the discussion?’

3 Focus on facts, experiences and knowledge rather than just opinions.

4 Consider how your comment can improve the community’s understanding of the topic.

5 Disagreement is welcome, but keep it civil and respectful.

6 Have fun! Casual conversation and jokes are great when appropriate.

7 Read previous comments or the full thread before chiming in.

8 It’s okay to share your own projects if they’re relevant, but be upfront about your connection to what you recommend.

9 Think ‘Yes, and...’ rather than ‘No, but...’ when responding to others.

10 Stay on topic and ignore baiting comments. Email/flag comments to Kai/admins if you notice any issues.
